FINE ART
I am interested in bringing attention to our collective universal and emotional connection
to one another and to nature using art.

Common themes in my work include memory, nature, women’s work, and rites of passage. Traditional methods such as embroidery and sewing are combined with modern fabrics, written word, and found objects to create evocative scenes, movement, and invocations of myth.
I also enjoy exploring acrylic color, texture and viscosity to assemble layers of paint,
creating abstract collage style paintings.

My recent work includes Artist Talks about the series "Women's Work: Converting the Mundane to the Sacred.
I have been collaborating with university faculty to include my work in their curriculum.
